Am I the boss?

Today the President and Senior Project manager are away. The office manager and two other technicians are gone. I am the only full time employee at work. To add to that I have two independent contractors and a summer employee working for me. I have three people doing my bidding. Does this make me the boss... if only for the day? I have a lot of stuff to get done but I don't know if I will be able to manage the day of 4 people (including myself of course). I am thinking of this as a test. And the reward for passing will be the title of project manager.
