I'm writing a scene in my novel where the main character is early for a meeting and he is all jittery about it. He and I are habitually late people. The selfishness of that act just hit me. I need to work on that.
The way to arrive on time is to plan to arrive early. There is great satisfaction in being on site and able to walk in at the time of your choosing rather than stumbling in late and making excuses like a person that cannot manage their personal time.
